A special November celebration in Costa Mesa was the setting for hundreds of Kinship Center adoptive families to gather for reconnection, networking and inspiration. This joyous occasion is as popular with Kinship Center staff as it is with current and past clients. “What a pleasure it is to have the chance to visit with children we placed for adoption years ago, and see the amazing things they’re doing with their lives,” commented one longtime Kinship Center employee.

Also present to enjoy the event were some of those whose support helps Kinship Center change lives every day. Honored for significant contributions to families was Lisa Fujimoto, photo center, Executive Director of Change a Life Foundation, which has provided more than $140,000 in emergency grant funds to help Kinship Center families in crisis.

Also shown above at the Celebration are l-r Kinship Center President and CEO Carol Biddle, Brenda Walters, Program officer for the Foundation, Senator Marian Bergeson, and Kinship Center Regional Executive Director Allison Maxon. Change a Life Foundation helps Kinship Center and other organizations seek funds for families caring for children with extraordinary needs that bring undue financial burdens. Kinship Center salutes the Foundation and all those whose support makes such a difference in children’s lives.
