Some 100 guests were on hand to participate in a festive open house and ribbon cutting at Kinship Center’s new facility in Tustin, CA on Thursday, June 2. Tustin Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Ned Smith and Executive Director Sherri Munsey extended a warm welcome and wielded some impressive scissors and ribbon to launch Kinship Center with official Chamber style.

The Tustin facility located on Irvine Blvd. acts as a headquarters for Kinship Center’s Southern California programs and houses approximately 65 employees who deliver services to some 1,000 children each year in the region and their families.

Presiding at the ribbon cutting were Tustin Mayor Jerry Amante and Mayor Pro Tem John Neilson. Kinship Center Regional Executive Director Allison Maxon performed a welcome and introductions that included current and former local government representatives, friends and supporters, and a Kinship Center client family who spoke eloquently about their adoption experience and the critical support they continue to receive from Kinship Center.

Carol Biddle, Kinship Center President and CEO, greeted guests and introduced local Board members Geoff LePlastrier, Sharyn Buffa, Marice White, Claudia Roxburgh and Jim Bieber. “We love our new Southern California home,” said Biddle.
