October 5th through October 7th, marked the 55tth Annual Tustin Tiller Days.  Three fun filled days of entertainment and celebration marking the beginning of autumn and commemorating Orange County’s agricultural heritage.

The Saturday Tustin Tiller Days Parade is a highlight of the festivities with special celebrity guests and this year Kinship Center was thrilled to participate for the third year in a row.   24 adults and children representing Kinship Center walked the parade route delighting spectators with the theme "The Stars of Kinship Center" and "The Stars of Adoption".

Dressed in costume, the children played celebrities and the accompanying adults were their paparazzi.  Every so often the group would stop and the children would walk down the Red Carpet and wave to ‘fans’.

“City of Tustin Judges, I want to welcome the Stars of Kinship Center!" announced the MC as the kids passed the judges booth.  Parade judges and the crowd alike erupted in applause and cheers.

“All these kids are either adopted, in relative care or in foster care” said Christina Schipul, Kinship Center Youth Partner.  “The kids are the ‘stars’ of the show.  It was a fun event and most of all the kids felt important.”
