Pathways to Permanence 1: Parenting in Real Life / Family Assessment/Parent Preparation Classes

A 24-hour series of interactive workshops designed to prepare prospective adoptive and foster care parents to bring a child home. This course is focused on understanding the child’s perspective from a developmental view, with special attention given to enhancing attachment between child and parent. It provides tools and techniques that support parenting a child in transition.

Pathways to Permanence 2: Parenting Children Who Have Experienced Trauma and Loss

A 21-hour specialized series of classes designed for foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, and guardians who are parenting children who have experienced trauma and loss as a part of their history.  This course provides tools, techniques and information that empower participants to effectively parent their children.
